The role involves understanding of software and website localization process. Analysing, Converting and refining all source files.
The localization ensures that the Loc-Kit is ably and lucidly created and handed over to operations for execution. Conduct training and develop teams, helping them to build appreciation for consistency and quality of translation.
Work with business and delivery teams in solving any vendor/client query. Work on TM tools and help optimize the LOC process and cost. Identify appropriate tools, configure and make them business-friendly.
The role demands good internet skills. The role involves researching various domains and culling out meaningful data /reports. The content to be researched can be domain based, industry-based or skill based depending on the business needs. The role calls for content creation and data assortment.
The person will be responsible for co-ordination and bridging various vendors and clients delivery. He / She will manage, monitor, control and update project status to the Project/Delivery Manager.
Establishing and maintaining a list of vendors and translators/proofreaders globally in consonance with the vendor manager.
The role calls for good written and verbal skills. Any graduate with some previous experience desirable. However bright fresher’s are encouraged to apply where they will be trained for the role.
The person should be focused and analytical so as to make sense of complex information points.
The Vendor Manager is at the heart of business operations and is responsible for cumulating, organizing and managing global linguistic experts and language vendors.
The role encompasses reaching out globally for identifying, screening and shortlisting multiple vendors providing localization services. The vendors need to be inducted and all legalities / documentation like SLAs, terms of business etc. has to be completed.
Work with the business pre-sales and sales teams parallel for optimizing costs and getting the deal execution-ready.
Ensuring vendor success by hand-holding them initially, giving them feedback over time and drive their efficiency. Create metrics for vendor evaluation.
Co-ordinate between multiple vendors and in-house business & operations team for timely delivery and quality of project assignments.
Somebody with previous localization background, having good exposure to vendor-support, out- sourcing process will be a good fit. Needless saying the candidate must be a great communicator, written and oral, with ability to deal at various levels.
Typical experience level could be 5 years.
